Of the Top 30 Most Viewed Youtube Videos 29 Are Music Videos of Signed Artists (explained)

For those who think that YouTube is the online tv channel of amateur superstars and overnight viral success stories, it may come as a surprise that 29 of the top 30 most viewed videos have been created by signed musical artists. While number 5 on the list is the only amateur video which happens to also be the only video that is not a music video. At 650,725,768 views as of February 4th 2014 "Charlie Bit My Finger – Again!"is a rare sight amongst the top of the top of Youtube videos.

The list which will be posted below helps give insight into people viewing habits and also shows that professional advertisers know exactly what they are doing. Although id like to see more amateurs reaching this coveted list im doubtful it will happen. This is because the nature of the content of top viewed videos, songs are usually played multiple times by the same user, also these artists have pre established fan bases in the millions. It is unlikely a video which is not a music video could be made in 2014 and ever reach the top 30. Although we have seen countless videos going viral overnight the fact remains how many times can someone watch a panda sneezing and still be entertained.

I present to you the list of the top 30 music YouTube videos as illustrated in this chart from Wikipedia.

Man checks forgotten computer in garage to discover he's now a multimillionaire

While bitcoin mining may not lead you to a life on easy street, it did however for a 32 year old software developer from California. The man who recently posted about his amazing story, reveals how he had set up a bitcoin mining computer in his garage in early 2012 and just forgot about it only to stubble upon it recently and discover that he was now one of the new bitcoin millionaires. The computer had mined approximately 35,000 coins. Which at today's marker value is worth in excess of $30 million dollars.

That sure tops the $20 bill I found while cleaning out my garage. It just goes to show you that if you are fortunate enough to invest in something very early in its life you can be astonished at the financial gains that are possible.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus' name misspelled on Walk of Fame star

The star read "Luis" instead of "Louis," and there was no hyphen between Louis and Dreyfus.
"The misspelling was so perfectly apt, a great metaphor for show business," Louis-Dreyfus said after the ceremony. "Right when you think you've made it, you get knocked down," she continued. "It's an ideal metaphor for how this business works."
Following the ceremony, it was announced that the last Walk of Fame honouree whose name was misspelled was actor Dick Van Dyke in 1993.

Attendees at the Louis-Dreyfus ceremony included cast and crew members of "Christine," as well as "Seinfeld" director Andy Ackerman, co-star Jason Alexander and co-creator Larry David, who joked, "I am prepared to give up my nights and weekends to guard this (star) with my life from the filth and pollutants to which it's prone. Anyone who so much as sneezes near this area, while I'm on duty ... well, I'll say, 'God bless you,' but I won't be happy about it."
Louis-Dreyfus, 49, is the first "Seinfeld" principal to get the Walk of Fame honour, as well as the first to enjoy a successful follow-up series, "Christine," for which she won an Emmy in 2006.-The Telegraph

Amsterdam Gives Beer and Cigarettes to Homeless People Who Clean the Streets

" The program, started last year by the Rainbow Foundation, a private but mostly government-funded organization that helps the homeless, drug addicts and alcoholics get back on their feet, is so popular that there is a long waiting list of chronic alcoholics eager to join the beer-fueled cleaning teams. In addition to beer the brand varies depending on which brewery offers the best price each member of the cleaning team gets half a packet of rolling tobacco, free lunch and 10 euros a day, or about $13.55.". The standard pay is 2 cans of beer in the morning, 2 more at lunch and finally 2 more cans at the end of the work day.- The New York Times

Interestingly enough  the concept of giving beer to alcoholic homeless people began in Canada. It is in essence a comparable situation as the one with heroine addicts who receive help through free methadone clinics.

Seinfeld ran for 9 seasons totally 180 30 minutes episodes. While the show was a huge sucess when it was on aire, it has since earned an unprecedented $3.1bn in repeat fees. Earning the shows creators, Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David hundreds of millions of dollars. George Soros: The Billion Dollar Wednesday

Black Wednesday took place on the 16th of September 1992. This is the day that the British Pound Stirling crashed. Forex trade George Soros sold short more than $10 billion in pounds. When the UK was forced to withdraw from the European Exchange Mechanism, Soros earned a reported $1.1 billion in one day.  This remains as the single most profitable day for a Forex trader in the history of Forex
currency exchange.

Some Interesting Facts To Help Visualize Just How Much Money Soros Made On Black Wednesday

If he were to withdraw his earning in US $100 dollar bills his pile of cash would weigh as much as 4 2013 Cadillac Escalades.

If he lined up those $100 bills length wise one after another it would stretch roughly 969 miles!

He earned over $11,000 per second the entire day!

He could make a tower of $1 bills stacked on top of each other that would stretch 55.24 miles into the sky or roughly 107 times taller than the worlds tallest building the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

He made enough money in one day to buy the LA Lakers... Twice!!!

Above is what $1 Billion US dollars looks like in $100 Bills, stacked on standard shipping pallets.
